Run4Wine Offers Running, Wine, and a Party Like No Other
Complete Runner is excited to present the second annual Run4Wine on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Jewel of Grand Blanc. If you were one of the 900 who joined us last year you know this is a fun-filled race for runners and walkers, men and women, and anyone looking for a good time!
The four mile run and walk starts at 6:00 pm and is held exclusively on the golf course, complete with an uphill finish you won’t soon forget.
After the race all participants are invited to the race party which includes a tasty buffet, drink ticket, entertainment, prizes, and wine tasting from 6:30-8:30 pm. Should you take fancy to any of the wines they will also be available to purchase. Along with the good time, participants also receive a race shirt and the first 400 to register will get a commemorative wine glass.
If you are feeling guilty about having such a good time at this awesome event just know that a portion of the proceeds will go to the Old Newsboys of Flint – so you can get some exercise, enjoy a good meal and some wine, and help out a great cause all in one night!

Run4Wine was Awesome!
With over 800 participants and lots of great feedback, the inaugural Run4Wine four mile run and walk was a smashing success!
“I have run 50 races this year, and this has been the best race by far.”
~Cory Steuben, overall winner of the Run4Wine four mile race
The Run4Wine was a unique event from the start. From the race aspect, the course was exclusively on the Jewel Golf Course which would be similar to a high school or college cross country race. Although the course was relatively flat, the final stretch gave participants a challenging “dip” to traverse with an uphill finish that you soon won’t forget. In the words of Curtis Thompson, “We wanted you to earn the wine [with the uphill finish] so you would appreciate it that much more.”
The other unique aspect of the event was the wine, of course. Coupled with a BBQ and live music, some people didn’t participate in the race but just came for the after party, and who could blame them!
We’d like to thank all those who participated in the run, walk, and after party, as well as the many sponsors and volunteers who helped to make the inaugural Run4Wine a huge success, including:
- Grand Blanc Motorcars
- The Jewel
- Fenton Winery & Brewery
- Vision Wine & Spirits
- Wolcott Winery
- C&L Ward
- Race Services Company
- Women2Women
We are also thrilled that a portion of the proceeds from the event were donated to the Old Newsboys and their great efforts to provide for needy children in Genesee County.

Run4Wine Offers Much More Than Just A Race
Genesee County’s newest and most anticipated race is just around the corner! On October 11, 2012 (10/11/12 to help you remember), the inaugural Run4Wine will take place at the Jewel of Grand Blanc Golf Course, offering a good time and good wine for all participants and spectators.
Not only to participants take part in a 4 mile run or walk that is 100% on the Jewel course, but they also get wine tasting, a drink ticket, BBQ, and live entertainment waiting for them just beyond the finish line! That will make anyone want to finish a little faster.
Spectators will be able to see quite a bit of the race from the clubhouse, and can purchase a ticket for the party only if running isn’t their thing.
The overall winner will receive their choice of a Mercedes Benz or BMW for the day and dinner at the Capital Grille, complements of Grand Blanc Motorcars!
To top things off, the Old Newsboys will receive a portion of the proceeds from the event.
As you can see this event is not only new but unlike any other in the area! Complete Runner is proud to partner with Women 2 Women Michigan to make the Run4Wine event become a reality! Register online or learn more today!
