During the Michigan Mile, which got moved this year to Friday evening August 23, High School cross country and track athletes will get the opportunity to battle it out around the U of M – Flint campus to see who can run the fastest mile.
High School athletes from Genesee County and the surrounding areas that are eligible to compete in the upcoming 2013-2014 high school athletic season are invited to participate in the inaugural event. Both individuals and teams of three or more can compete, with awards given to the fastest boys and girls teams, as well as the fastest boy and girl individual runners.
Just when you think this event couldn’t get any better it does! All participants are also given a Michigan Mile T-Shirt and a famous Block “M” medal.
If you are a High School track or cross country athlete now is the time to gather up your team and start getting in some speed workouts because you won’t want to miss this new and exciting Crim event!
