We’ve found that runners and walkers want more out of local road races. They want more swag, more food, and more entertainment. We’ve listened and we’ve acted.
The same folks that brought you the widely successful Run4Wine last year are getting ready to bring you a bigger, better Pot O’ Gold Race downtown Flint in 2013.
This year the race will start and end near the flat lot on Saginaw Street. The course will still be a beautiful and fast four miles and all participants will get medals and a shirt. In addition, the first 500 to register will also receive a commemorative beer mug that will come in handy after the race.
After your four mile run or walk you will finish near the flat lot where food will be provided for all race participants, and other food and beer vendors will be on hand as well. You can relax with your food and drink under the tent while listening to live music. And if you are feeling up for it you can join the pub crawl that will be taking place downtown.
That’s what we’re talking about!
We’re excited to partner with the Flint DDA to make the whole Pot O’ Gold Race experience one that will be hard to forget.
The Blarney trot starts at 4:30 PM and is only $5. The four mile run starts at 5:00 PM with the walk starting one minute later. Early registration is $25 until March 1 then rises to $30 until race day.
